🎉 Celebrate 40+ Years of EDAM

This season we celebrate EDAM's 40+ years of contributing to Vancouver’s dance history — a major commemorative milestone! For over four decades, EDAM has provided a stable and fertile environment for the creation and production of contemporary dance by Artistic Director, Peter Bingham, as well as the presentation of work by local guest artists. In 2023/2024, we mark EDAM’s 42nd anniversary along with the announcement of a 3 year succession plan, welcoming Olivia Shaffer as our new Associate Artistic Director.

EDAM (Experimental Dance and Music) was formed in 1982 by seven independent artists. In 1984 the group condensed to four artistic directors, and in 1989 Peter Bingham assumed sole directorship. This season we also celebrate Peter Bingham’s 35 years of visionary leadership.

As we celebrate these milestones, we have launched a fundraiser to raise support to bolster our community and activities through the economic challenges we face in Vancouver.
